He said: “You just never know who’s going to come into your life. To my mind, the only thing sicker than saying, ‘Wow, you’re a famous person and it would do a lot for my career to go out with you,’ is to say, ‘Wow, you’re a famous person and I like you and all, but I can’t do that to my career.’ I don’t think either of those is a good option.” Meanwhile, the 32-year-old musician – who is known for his melancholic, acoustic sound and emotional lyrics – claims his records are so likeable, they overshadow any criticism he receives. He said: “I should be having sex with more girls. It’s crazy to me that in my head being 32 and dating women is going to get me into trouble.” The ‘Gravity’ singer – who is as well known for his relationships as his music – stops himself from going out with more girls because of the constant public interest in his love life. Contrary to his ladies' man predicate, John Mayer tends to consider dating as nightmare, telling The New York Times in recent interview, "I equate dating a woman with punishment, shame, guilt, disappointment, reproach, reprimand, persecution. It's a nightmare." He explained further, "It's crazy to me that in my head, that being 32 and dating women is going to get me in trouble. I can't even explain to you how terrible that feels."
He went on complaining, "I should be having sex with more girls". Though so, the rock singer admitted that he avoids writing songs about his love life. "What is the odd man out," he said, "is it the record or the coverage? I'm not going to let it be the record. I think if you're listening to 'Battle Studies' and you think it's a record about high-profile relationships, I haven't done a good enough job."

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were the last New Moon stars to arrive on the red carpet in La last night, but the crowds were happy to wait for the big three! They all looked fantastic - especially Kristen in her gorgeous Oscar de la Renta and sexy hair, who stopped to talk about how happy she was to be at an event with the fans. She said she doesn't have a favorite of all the hot dresses she's worn while out promoting the movie, but fell in love with this one when she saw it. Robert greeted all the fans with a huge smile, excitedly signing autographs for as many people as he could. He flashed an adorable smile to us when they announced Kristen's arrival right behind him, though the two were spread out and didn't pose on the red carpet together. The signs all over the event were amazing, »
