Heart attack survivor Kelsey Grammer is convinced he'll live to a 140, after using the Bible to forecast his future.
The former Frasier star came close to dying in 2008 when he suffered a heart attack near his Hawaii home.
He survived and the experience encouraged him to embrace God and the Bible.
Grammer's now convinced he has more than half of his life left to live, after turning to the good book to see into his future.
The 54 year old tells the New York Post, "I read the Bible a lot. One day I asked: 'How old am I going to be when I die?' And I had the Bible in front of me so I just closed my eyes and opened it up to a page in the Book of Job, and I pointed. There was a reading that said when I die I am going to be 140 years old. And I like that." »

Marvel Comics' team the X-Men debuted way back in September 1963 and have since evolved into many different line-ups and series, as well as three animated TV shows and a franchise of hit films.
The latest mutation of the enduring superheroes is Dark X-Men, a five-issue miniseries which debuts on November 11.
Written by Paul Cornell and illustrated by Leonard Kirk, the roster consists of Mystique, Dark Beast, Weapon Omega and Mimic.
Mystique is a shapeshifter, who was played in the movies by Rebecca Romijn; Weapon Omega can absorb the energy, personalities and abilities of other mutants, and can fly and fire blasts of energy; Mimic is permanently able to duplicate the powers of the five original X-Men; and Dark Beast is an evil, alternative reality version of the furry, animalistic Beast (who was played in the third X-Men film by Kelsey Grammer).

The show has always had gay representation.
The Simpsons has been creating a memorable supporting cast for more than 20 years. We’ve seen characters come for a visit, like Grady (Scott Thompson), and we’ve seen them come and go and come back, like Sideshow Bob (Kelsey Grammer).
Grady and Julio were once Homer's roommates.
Some, like Grady, have been gay, and others like Sideshow Bob have been (inexplicably) straight. On the whole, the show’s been pretty good for gay representation over the years.
Marge’s sister, Patty Bouvier is a lesbian. She’s dated different men on the show before coming out, including Principal Skinner, while also flirting with Edna Krabappel. She had an affair with a female professional golfer. Well, she thought the golfer was female, even if it turned out differently in the end.
Patty had what she thought was a lesbian relationship with Veronica. »

Question: Is Emilie de Ravin going to be back on Lost for the whole season or just a few episodes? And will we get to see what happened to her? —Jared
Ausiello: The answer to both of your questions is a resounding yeppers. Better prepare yourself though. My Lost mole says season 6 will showcase "a version of Claire we've never seen before — a Rousseau-esque version." We'll be in need of a Rousseau fix since the real version will be MIA. According to a Lost insider, the French Lady's portrayer, Mira Furlan, turned down the show's request to return for the final season due to a "prior overseas commitment." Anyone know how you say "big bag-o-nuts" in français? »

In what must be a major slap in the face to Kelsey Grammer and the creators behind Hank, ABC is pre-empting the show on October 28th with the Halloween classic It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Wait, it gets worse. It's pre-empting the show with a repeat of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown from the night before. Granted, the previous night will be the expanded, hour-long version, but still...
Admittedly, opinions of Hank haven't exactly been stellar. Quite the opposite, in fact. While the show has not actually been canceled, it does not seem long for this world. Its only consolation is that it lasted longer than The Beautiful Life.
Kelsey Grammer will never be able to get away from Frasier Crane, much like Carroll O'Connor was never able to get away from Archie Bunker. It's a shame since Grammer is a better actor than that.

Kelsey Grammer and his sitcom Hank have not been having an easy time of it. While ABC's other freshman sitcoms -- The Middle, Modern Family, and Cougar Town -- have all received additional episode orders, Hank has not. To add insult to injury, the comedy's now being replaced by a 43-year-old rerun.
It's that time of year again and ABC is pulling out its venerable animated special, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Though we've all seen it before, the special tends to bring in very good numbers.
Last year, Charlie Brown attracted 10.43 million and a 3.4/9 in the demo. That was down from 2007 when it brought in 11.4 million and a 3.8/11 in the 18-49 demographic.
Of course, those numbers put Hank's performance to shame so it makes sense to replace the sitcom on Wednesday, October 28th. With »

Ted Danson's dueling gigs on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm and Bored to Death have been delightful, and Shelley Long's kooky cameo on Wednesday's Modern Family triggered a still-rolling avalanche of Cheers nostalgia in our offices. But that's not the half of it. Woody Harrelson has a hit movie (Zombieland) and a serious role in a potential Oscar contender (The Messenger); Kelsey Grammer has another new sitcom (Hank); George Wendt has written a barstool professional's guide to beer; Rhea Perlman was hilarious on a recent episode of HBO's Hung; and Kirstie Alley is just a few pounds (lost or »

Check out a sneak peek clip from the upcoming episode called "Relax, Don't Do It" from ABC's comedy "Hank." The show airs on October 21st at 8:00 p.m. Et. Starring Kelsey Grammer, this hilarious family comedy mixes genuine, heart-warming moments with Grammer’s trademark blustery humor. The series is written by “Everybody Loves Raymond’s” three-time Emmy Award-winning Tucker Cawley, and co-executive produced by Grammer along with Mike Clements (“The Life & Times of Tim”) and Emmy Award-winning producer Tom Werner (“The Cosby Show,” “Roseanne,” “Grace Under Fire”)... »

Good grief, "Hank"! You're being pre-empted by Charlie Brown.
ABC has decided to give viewers a double dose of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," airing a half-hour version of the holiday classic on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. in place of the struggling Kelsey Grammer sitcom "Hank."
The expanded hourlong edition of "Great Pumpkin" will still air the night before, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. But ABC schedulers apparently thi... »

Let me give you a quick inside look at how things operate here in online entertainment journalism land: ABC sent us an invite to talk to Kelsey Grammer (and his co-star Melinda McGraw) during the same whirlwind "defending Hank" tour that Bob mentioned in his post yesterday. As much as I wanted to talk to Grammer, the conditions just didn't seem to be right.
For one, we would have had maybe ten minutes to talk to him. For another, he'd be defending a show that is a) terrible and b) on the verge of being cancelled. I want to talk to Grammer about comedy, Frasier, Cheers, his heart attack, and lots of other stuff. I wasn't particularly interested in him telling me how good he thinks Hank is for the whole interview.
But, when he told The TV Addict that last night's episode was going to be funny, it got »

This week’s assignment was the new NBC comedy, Community. A comedy, I might add, that was my top pick for new shows this season. I loved the pilot and watched it a few times: it felt like a little movie to me, but one that – oh lucky day! – would go on and on every week. I loved Joel McHale’s smarmy persona, and thought it was the perfect 21st-century reincarnation of the ‘80s Bill Murray archetype. With the strong supporting characters (Human robot Abed, giggly Shirley, and Chevy Chase’s obliviously un-pc Pierce) and a tight, bouncy script, the »

All of the new ABC Wednesday night comedies -- The Middle, Cougar Town, and Modern Family -- have been picked up for the entire season. Actually, one new sitcom is missing from that group.
Kelsey Grammer's Hank isn't getting any love from viewers and it's not getting any love from critics. Ratings aren't that good and the critics don't like it. So Grammer is doing a bunch of interviews for tonight's episode, including this one over at The TV Addict. He promises that tonight's episode is funny -- really! -- and we should all watch it.

This is a tough one: If you were starring on an ABC show, like Christian Slater of The Forgotten, would you choose to pimp your drama from a front row seat in the Dancing the Stars ballroom (as Slater did on Oct. 6) or at a Nascar race broadcast on the network (as he did on Oct. 11 in Fontana, Calif.)? Plus for Dwts: They'd only make you sit through the results show, not a two-hour performance night. Plus for Nascar: After Grand Marshal Kelsey Grammer (of ABC's Hank) gave the command to start engines, you'd get to drive the 2010 Chevy Camaro Pace Car. »

I've always heard that three out of four ain't bad. But if you're Kelsey Grammer, it's a whole different ball game. While there's been no word on the horrid Hank, ABC has ordered full season pick-ups for the rest of their Wednesday comedy block. At this point, I'd say that was inevitable. ABC's bold experiment of a whole new night of programming seems to have worked out.
Early buzz on Modern Family particularly brought people to sample the wares, and luckily that show delivered. The Middle has been impressive as well, and would probably fare even better if it switched places with Cougar Town. Courteney Cox's latest vehicle is much better than I expected, but not up to the creative caliber of its lead-ins.
As for Hank? Well, it is the only multi-camera comedy on the night, so it stands out a bit in that respect. Oh, and its »

ABC's "Hank" has a new sneak peek clip called "Ice Cream" available from the upcoming "Drag Your Daughter to Work Day" episode which airs on October 14th.
