Seven-year-old piano prodigy Emily Bear had U.S. TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres holding back tears when she performed a song she'd written as a gift to the newlywed.
The little composer, who has performed for heads of state and already has two albums to her name, told the host that she had been inspired to pen Once Upon A Wish by DeGeneres marriage to Portia De Rossi this past summer, during a recent taping of Ellen.
Stunned DeGeneres was visibly touched by the gesture, but held back tears when the youngster said, "I want to give it (song) to you because you got your wish."

Ashlee Simpson has been trying "different foot massages" to induce labor. The 24-year-old pop star - who is expecting her first child with husband Pete Wentz - is so desperate to give birth she has been testing out a variety of treatments which are said to bring on the labor process.
Ashlee's sister Jessica told U.S. TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres Monday: "She has been trying different foot massages and stuff. I don't know. I think she's really just jumping around trying everything right now."
Jessica - who denied internet reports suggesting "Little Miss Obsessive" singer Ashlee had gone into labor over the weekend - also revealed Ashlee and Fall Out Boy rocker Pete are thinking about medically inducing labor if it doesn't naturally happen soon.
She added during the show, which airs Wednesday: "They're going to have to. It's already developing really quickly."

On the reason why, the pop singer-actress said, "They're going to have to. It's already developing really quick."
Jessica, furthermore, told Ellen that Ashlee has tried different attempts to begin labor. "Different foot massages and stuff," she testified. "I don't know. I think she's really just jumping around trying everything right now."
Jessica's interview with Ellen on her TV show "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" will be aired Wednesday, November 19.

Comedienne Wanda Sykes has confirmed she secretly wed her gay partner just before same-sex marriages were banned in California.
The Curb Your Enthusiasm regular made the announcement at a rally against the passage of Proposition 8, which ended a summer of gay weddings, on Saturday.
She told the crowd at the Las Vegas protest, "Everybody who knows me personally, they know I'm gay. And that's the way people should be able to live our lives, really. We shouldn't have to be standing out here demanding something we automatically should have as citizens of this country.
"I'm proud to be a woman, I'm proud to be a black woman and I'm proud to be gay."
Her decision to come out at the rally has been applauded by gay rights leaders.
Gay + Lesbian Alliance Against Discrimination (GLAAD) President Neil G. Giuliano says, "People living openly and honestly increases visibility of our community and has a tremendous impact in terms of creating awareness, understanding and acceptance as we continue our march to equality."
Sykes became the second high-profile comedienne to wed her gay partner this year - Ellen DeGeneres exchanged vows with actress Portia De Rossi in August.
Ironically, Sykes' character in U.S. TV sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine recently wed co-star Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the show for immigration purposes.

Comedian and actress Wanda Sykes officially came out this weekend, announcing to the estimated crowd of 1,000 gathered in Las Vegas at one of the many rallies for gay rights taking place around the country on Saturday that she's gay, and that she legally married her wife in California on Oct. 25.

Back To The Future star Christopher Lloyd is fighting to save his home in the Montecito wildfire raging through California.
Buildings on Lloyd's property sustained major fire damage on Thursday night and through Friday, with part of the estate turned to ruins.
The actor, who played zany professor Doc Brown in the Back To The Future trilogy, was alerted to the sad news by phone - he's currently shooting a movie on location in Canada.
Lloyd attempted to sell the property early last year but later pulled his home off the market.
The main house is a local landmark - it was built in 1972 from adobe bricks made on-site, according to the Los Angeles Times newspaper.
Lloyd is due to return to California later this month to prepare for his stint as Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at the Kodak Theatre.
As WENN went to press, Lloyd is the only Montecito celebrity whose home has been hit by the blaze, but others are on high alert, including Rob Lowe - him and his family have fled their property.
The actor phoned into neighbour Oprah Winfrey's TV show on Friday to describe the chaos in the celebrity community.
He said, "We got in the car, pulled out of the driveway and the entire mountain behind us was flames, 200 feet high, shooting into the air...This thing came on so fast, you just can't believe it. I've watched 12 or 13 homes burn to the ground. It's so tragic. It was Armageddon."
Other celebrities with properties at risk include Kevin Costner, Jeff Bridges and Ellen DeGeneres.
At press time, more than 100 houses had burned to the ground.

"We got in the car, pulled out of the driveway and the entire mountain behind us was flames, 200 feet high, shooting into the air...This thing came on so fast, you just can't believe it.

As if she weren’t busy enough with her daily talk show, new marriage, philanthropic endeavors, American Express ads and her new Cover Girl campaign, Ellen DeGeneres is adding at least one more project to her full plate. Ellen’s Even Bigger Really Big Show, returns for another edition and airs on TBS on Nov. 29 as part of the network’s Comedy Festival at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.
Ellen took time out from rehearsals to talk to the press about the variety special, her feelings about Proposition 8 and how she’d like to literally pick a kid from a Gap ad.
This being the second consecutive year that Ellen has headlined the TBS special, she was asked what’s different about the latest edition. With her usual quick wit she offered, “Well, the title says it’s even bigger so I think that says it all.

A victim of bullying during her school days, Demi Lovato admits she sometimes still receives nasty blog comments from people even though she's no longer a seventh grader. "Sometimes [bullying] doesn't just end in high school," so she writes on her MySpace blog. "Sometimes I get online and read blogs (which I probably shouldn't if I can't handle it) and read the horrible things that people say in comments ... and it can really take a toll on you."
Sticking to her commitment to help other young girls who are bullied or harassed by their friends, Demi offers some wise words, writing "So as a message to everyone, please keep in mind when you're about to threaten someone or make fun of them or leave blog comments about them, that what you say or do can truly affect someone." Emma Thompson has mixed emotions whenever she visits pal Ellen DeGeneres' U.S. chat show - because she once appeared on the programme without her panties.
The bubbly Brit decided her tight-fitting Zac Posen dress would show up any pantylines, so she ditched them - only to find out later she was expected to take part in a pole-dancing skit.
In her first trip back to the daytime show, on Wednesday, since she went commando on U.S. TV, the Oscar winner revealed, "I was quite scared that it was going to be a sort of Basic Instinct only without the really good lighting... (It was) a tiny bit of a worry."

Barack Obama's election win has heaped pressure on Emma Thompson's unofficially adopted son Tindyebwa Agaba - because his 'mum' now expects him to run for office.
Before Obama's historic victory on 4 November, the actress never thought it would be possible for the Rwandan refugee to become a Prime Minister or President - but now she's convinced her 21-year-old student 'son' can make a big difference.
Speaking on Wednesday's Ellen show in America, the British Oscar winner revealed she sees greatness in Agaba's future after taking the former child soldier in when he was 16, and making him part of her family.
She said, "He's just settling in now... He's 21 now, studying social and political science at Exeter University (England), if you please.
"When Barack got in... my husband was up and woke me... and said, 'It's happened, it's happened'. So I watched his (Obama) speech online and then I texted Tin and I said, 'I expect you to be in office by 2012'."
The actress has rarely spoken about her 'adopted' son, but told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres she and her family bonded with Agaba over Christmas one year.
She explained, "In an organic fashion, he became part of the family. He's a remarkable boy."
