The impressively bearded star of The Hangover muses on 'turning into the very thing I despise'
Zach Galifianakis lives in a world of his own. In his wildly acclaimed stand-up shows, he comes over like a cross between a perpetual schoolboy and an impossibly wise mystic. These performances, packed with ludicrous digressions and mixing silly jokes with moments of awkward bleakness, have made this impressively bearded North Carolinan a cult favourite among comedy fans on both sides of the Atlantic. But this year, it looks like he's finally crossed over into the mainstream fame, thanks to his glorious turn in 2009's biggest comedy, The Hangover.
After years of unsuccessful movie roles (the nadir was probably 2001's Out Cold, a snowboarding comedy starring Lee Majors), now Galifianakis finds himself firmly in the spotlight. He's at the heart of everything that's great about The Hangover, where he plays Alan – the agent provocateur »

FX has decided not to make anyone wait for the final season of "Nip/Tuck," which along with a new season of "Damages" will hit your screens in January.
The animated series "Archer" will also premiere in January, while the new drama "Justified" and comedy "Louie" will debut in the spring.
"Nip/Tuck" is scheduled to wrap up its sixth season on Dec. 16. It will be off the air for only three weeks before the final nine episodes begin. That's a far cry from FX's original plan, announced in summer 2008, that put the series finale in 2011. Now the final episode is scheduled for March 3.
"Damages" begins its third season on Monday, Jan. 25. Glenn Close, Rose Byrne, Tate Donovan and Ted Danson will all return to the show, and they'll be joined by Campbell Scott and Martin Short as series regulars and guest stars Keith Carradine, Lily Tomlin and Len Carion. »

Chelsea Clinton, 29, and long-time boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky, 31, the off-spring of another political family, announced their engagement over the Thanksgiving holiday. No word on whether she will be converting to Judaism. Mezvinsky and Clinton have been an item for some time, and it was widely reported – incorrectly — by mainstream media outlets, from the Washington Post to the New York Daily News — that they were getting married on Martha’s Vineyard last summer. At the time they were rumored to be planning to wed at Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen’s home in Chilmark in August. »

Well ABC seemed to be out in the lead for having the most shows we were thankful for in 2009 with 4 of their new shows making our list. In second place was the USA channel with 2, while Syfy, Fox, HBO and NBC all had 1 on the list as well. I was surprised that CBS didn’t make our list but with so many already good shows previous to 2009 they didn’t have to add a lot to their programming schedule. Glee got our top spot while Flashforward barely made the list.
1. Glee
Couldn’t think of any other show to go here than this one. A complete surprise this musical dramedy series from of all people, Ryan Murphy, the guy who brought us Nip/Tuck. This series is a massive 180 from his repetoire but thats okay because we love it. Everything from the weekly musical selections, to the talented group of »

There comes a time in life when we have to face our personal truths and after another dark night of the soul watching late night television, I'm ready to admit that I love Lopez Tonight. The new TBS talk show had me during Wednesday night's Chola Makeover, but last night's show clinched my affection when the host advised an inter-racial couple in the audience on their money disagreements, threw to "Creepy Little White Girl," a new correspondent who delivers stale monologue jokes in zombie attire, got Ted Danson to admit that he cried while watching the Cheers pilot and then welcomed This Is It guitar goddess, Orianthi, to the stage for a solo performance. A few highlights from Lopez, and all of the other notable late night moments you missed, after the jump. »

Things to know about at this week: the first Clash of the Titans teaser, Steve Guttenberg still hanging onto his 80's glory, toy movies are still wanted, and the fantastic piece of news that is the death of the Oldboy remake. What's that? That's right. Read along.
The Good
• A very good poster for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland was posted on the Mad Hatter's official Facebook page. Two more are coming, presumably on the Red Queen and White Queen pages.
• A selection of props from Duncan Jones' Moon are up for auction on eBay, including Gerty himself! It's the actual full-size thing, measuring 83” x 33” x 27.5" and even signed by the director himself. As of writing it's still bidding at £1,000, so totally affordable if you're a collector.
• After being impressed by the new trailer for The Wolfman that was released a couple of weeks back, now I'm even more impressed by the posters. »

Last night's Bored to Death was a laugh riot as usual, but to my utter shock, my favorite scene had nary a Ted Danson in sight! I'm digging new Saturday Night Live cast member (and utterer of memorable f-bomb) Jenny Slate as Stella, a perfect love/like interest for Jason Schwartzman's Jonathan. On Sunday's episode, "Take a Dive," Stella lured Jonathan away from the blank Word document on his pretty Apple laptop to get stoned with him and play Nerf basketball. They were so out of it that after tumbling onto the floor post-misguided Jason Schwartzman "dunk" attempt, physical »

Only a few minutes ago, the first season of HBO's freshman comedy Bored to Death concluded with its eighth episode, entitled "Take a Dive." The episode, one of my favorites yet, managed to be both sincere and funny at the same time. The same can be applied to most of the first season, which follows generally sweet Jonathan Ames, a floundering novel writer in dire economic straits, in his second job, moonlighting as a private detective. He is joined by his best friend, comic book artist Ray Huesten, and his boss, magazine editor George Christopher, in his various misadventures of cases.
Of course, Bored to Death didn't really have a chance to fail. It was placed in such prime television real estate that to fail, it would have had to be extremely, terribly awful. Which it wasn't. It actually managed to be the funniest show on television Sunday night, even out-laffing Curb Your Enthusiasm, »

Steve Guttenberg is claiming he’s set to reunite with Ted Danson and Tom Selleck for 3 Men and a Bride, the potentially third movie in the 3 Men in a Baby series.
The 51-year-old actor’s last big movie was probably 3 Men and a Little Lady in 1990, so prepare your giant grain of salt. Guttenberg told the WENN that “Disney is developing” this and “they’re bringing everybody back.” He also predicted it will be a “smash hit,” as if audiences are combing their VHS collections and wondering what happen to little Mary Bennington.
Guttenberg didn’t offer any additional details, but presumably the story would pick back up with the three bachelors attending Mary’s wedding for a father(s) of the bride moment.
What about the other 80’s hits? Guttenberg has you covered. He wants to return to the Police Academy, make another Cocoon, and he’d like a »

We are now in the age of the 20-year-old sequel. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Wall Street 2, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Beverly Hills Hop 4, The Untouchables: Capone Rising. It hasn't been "too long," it isn't awkward to go back. It'll make you feel young again! Now we've reached the pinnacle of past grabs, as WENN is reporting that Steve Guttenberg, Tom Selleck, and Ted Danson are reuniting for Three Men and a Bride.
"Disney's developing Three Men and a Bride. That's going to be a smash. A smash hit. They're bringing everybody back for that," says Guttenberg. "Nobody knows about it. I'm the first to talk about it."
Guttenberg might just become king of the It's Never To Late To Return! movement, as he dreams of reviving all of his past franchises. "It's definitely time for another Police Academy. And I think they could make another Cocoon. »

It's been a long time coming for Steve Guttenberg, or "The Gutt" to his friends. Not surprisingly, Guttenberg is currently in New York working on his next movie. Alright, so that might be surprising. We haven't seen anything Guttenbergian of note since the stellar 1997 family aquatics comedy Zeus and Roxanne. But that is about to change. According to WENN, who interviewed Guttenberg on the set of his next film, Disney is developing another sequel to the 80s hit Three Men and a Baby. He also revealed that it will follow the sequel Three Men and a Little Lady by finding the three guys -- played by Guttenberg, Tom Selleck and Ted Danson -- giving away baby Mary on her wedding day in Three Men and a Bride. Think Fathers of the Bride. After dropping this little bomb, Guttenberg also reached back and talked about bringing back both Police Academy and Cocoon, the »

You know what this world needs? More Steve Guttenberg. It's not like we have enough bad movies each year. We need to reach for that level only Mahoney can deliver. But how can you bring back someone who hasn't be relevant since the 1980s? I know! Make sequels to former film franchises that were bad to begin with! Fortunately, only one person on Earth thinks this way, and that's Steve Guttenberg. But that's not stopping him from talking about it. In an interview with WENN, Guttenberg revealed that Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and himself are getting the ol' band back together for... 3 Men and A Bride, a sequel to 1990's 3 Men and a Little Lady. Now, I know what you're thinking - finally, we can get some closure. But while that bad idea is apparently in motion (thanks Disney!), the man is not satisfied with a simple one-pic comeback. No, »

Oh Steve Guttenberg... how I want to believe you. It seems that every time the man gets in front of a reporter, blogger or media type person, he can't help but regale them with stories about how his career is about to undergo a massive resurgence. In the past he's talked about another Police Academy sequel (that's part 8, for those keeping count), and he's also hinted at another possible sequel to Three Men and a Baby, with Ted Danson, Tom Selleck, and himself reteaming for another blockbuster comedy. But is there any chance this is true, or is it merely a figment of his imagination? According to WENN [1], Guttenberg is now convinced that Three Men and a Bride is actually happening. Little baby Mary is all grown up now, and Danson, Selleck and Guttenberg will be the ones to give her away at the ceremony. No, seriously. "Disney's developing Three Men and a Bride. »

Whatever they call the final film it’s bound to be better than mine…
But hopefully you’ll gather from the title that the 80s has spat out another sequel as the dark forces of Steve Guttenberg, Tom Selleck and Ted Danson converge once again for another Three Men and a… film.
It’s been twenty long years since we last saw Messrs Guttenberg, Selleck and Danson as the lovable commitment phobic men and their Little Lady, itself a sequel to the zeitgeist riding Three Men and a Baby, and though they are usually forgotten in the tidal wave of nostalgia they are pretty sweet, well written films. And I’m all for a revisiting instead of a remake, particularly as we’ve not seen the three amigos for quite some time and they did have a certain chemistry that could make for a watchable sequel.

Whatever was old is apparently new again as Disney will reunite the cast of Three Men and a Baby for Three Men and a Bride.
“Disney’s developing Three Men and a Bride,” said original star Steve Guttenberg. “That’s going to be a smash. A smash hit. They’re bringing everybody back for that. Nobody knows about it. I’m the first to talk about it.”
1987’s Three Men and a Baby starred Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg as bachelor friends forced to raise a baby together after she is left on their doorstep by a desperate mother. The trio reunited three years later for Three Men and a Little Lady.
For Guttenberg, he hopes that studio interest in ’80s films don’t end at Three Men.
“It’s definitely time for another Police Academy. And I think they could make another Cocoon,” says the 51-year-old. “They »

Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg are reuniting for a new Three Men And A Baby sequel - nearly 20 years after the last installment.
The trio played bachelor pals forced to raise a baby together after she's left on their doorstep by desperate mum Nancy Travis in the 1987 original.
The reteamed three years later for the follow up, Three Men and a Little Lady.
Now, 19 years later, studio bosses at Disney are planning to reunite the trio for their movie daughter's wedding.
Breaking the news to WENN, an excited Guttenberg says, "Disney's developing Three Men and a Bride. That's going to be a smash. A smash hit. They're bringing everybody back for that.
“Nobody knows about it. I'm the first to talk about it.”
And Guttenberg's not settling for just one sequel - he wants to bring back all the franchises that helped him find fame in the 1980s.
He adds, "It's definitely time for another Police Academy. And I think they could make another Cocoon.
"They're surefire hits and I think they're good for the world. They make the world a better place and that's what it's all about." »

Twenty years later, the men are still having trouble with the baby, except this time she's a grown ass woman getting married. Along the way, the TBS Network decided that since the show would capture a »
