It was bound to happen. We even wrote about it this past July. While a reunion show probably won't happen, it's always news when two cast members from the former hit sitcom Friends appear on screen together. In this case, it's Lisa Kudrow who will be guest-starring on Courteney Cox's sitcom, Cougar Town.
Of course, as a twist, they will not be friends in Kudrow's visit, but rather enemies. Kudrow plays a dermatologist that Cox's character goes to see. Will this be any different than Jennifer Aniston's appearance on Dirt playing a rival of Courteney Cox on that show?

She appears at the beginning of the video, with a short introduction about how the exercise routine has changed her life. Courteney Cox, who's back to work on Cougar Town after a brief hiatus last month for personal reasons, was there to spend the evening with Jen along with Josh Groban. Jennifer's back in California after her recent trip to Morocco for Thanksgiving, and it looks like she's diving right back into her work while gearing up to start on The Goree Girls. More than five years after they shared a screen together on "Friends" series finale, Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox jumped onto the same wagon again on "Cougar Town". The first look of them in the half-hour comedy series has been shared, showing Cox's Jules being tended by Kudrow's dermatologist character.
One thing different this time, Cox and Kudrow did not want to play as friends. Executive Producer Bill Lawrence said, "She plays a dermatologist who is a horrible, horrible person, but [Cox] goes to her because she's the best. The [sight] of them playing people who dislike each other intensely was very funny for me to watch."
The episode will be aired on January 6, the first one airing in the new year after the show takes a break for holiday season starting December 9.

They spent a decade being friends on one of the most popular shows in TV history - but when Lisa Kudrow shows up on Cougar Town next month, she and Courteney Cox won't be yukking it up.
ABC has released the first photo from the January 6 episode on which Kudrow guest stars. She plays a doctor that, as producer Bill Lawrence tells Entertainment Weekly, pretty much sucks.
“They didn’t want to play friends,” Lawrence said. “[Lisa] plays a dermatologist who is a horrible, horrible person, but [Cox] goes to her because she’s the best. The [sight] of them playing people who dislike each other intensely was very funny for me to watch.”
We have a feeling viewers will feel the same way.

· Little love will have been lost when Lisa Kudrow reunites with her Friends colleague Courteney Cox in Cougar Town January 6. The show's creator Bill Lawrence has revealed that Kudrow "plays a dermatologist who is a horrible, horrible person, but [Cox] goes to her because she's the best. The [sight] of them playing people who dislike each other intensely was very funny." Lawrence credits Cox and Kudrow for the idea. But maybe the real credit goes to Brad Pitt, who explored the same concept when he guest-starred on Friends as the bitter former classmate of Rachel Green, played by his then wife, Jennifer Aniston. There will be something conspicuously missing when Friends costar Lisa Kudrow guests on Courteney Cox’s ABC sitcom, Cougar Town, on Jan. 6: friendship. "They didn't want to play friends,” says executive producer Bill Lawrence, who quickly came up with a different role for Kudrow. "She plays a dermatologist who is a horrible, horrible person, but goes to her because she's the best. The of them playing people who dislike each other intensely was very funny for me to watch." If the execution is half as funny as the set-up, I think this is going to be a winner. What do you think? »

"The Mentalist" is getting a new supervisor.
Aunjanue Ellis is joining the cast of the CBS drama in what's described as a "heavily recurring" part. She'll play the new head of the California Bureau of Investigation, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Ellis, who's slated to make her debut on the show in the spring, is stepping in for Gregory Itzin, who's headed back to "24" to reprise his role as former President Charles Logan. (His "Mentalist" character, Virgil Minelli, announced his resignation in the Nov. 20 episode.)
Ellis' credits include "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3," NBC's "E-Ring" and a few episodes of "True Blood."
- "Cougar Town" is welcoming a new younger man to its fold -- but he won't be hooking up with Courteney Cox's Jules.

Jennifer Aniston touched down in London today and flashed a big smile as she walked through Heathrow Airport where she was spotted with Orlando Bloom. She's spending her Thanksgiving overseas, fresh off a bikini filled trip to Cabo with friends. The holiday inspired Buzz to take a walk down Friends Thanksgiving memory lane including a cameo from Brad Pitt. Jennifer's real life best friend, Courteney Cox, had a bit of a rough week having to call off production on Cougar Town to tend to a personal matter, but the show is scheduled to pick up filming again on Monday. (S01E09) Two things I'm starting to realize about Cougar Town:
1) The more the show concentrates on the ensemble and less on Jules, the funnier it is, and
2) We really need to see more interaction between Courteney Cox and Dan Byrd.
This episode had essentially the same formula as the barbecue episode from a few weeks ago: bring everyone together under Jules' roof and let them bounce off one another. And it worked once again. Instead of a barbecue, of course, the occasion was Thanksgiving (in Florida can you have a barbecue three weeks before Thanksgiving). There's only one slight, itty-bitty problem with what went on this week. But it's a problem that I hope leads to some good things.

Campbell is "pretty sure at this stage that Wes [Craven] is back on board to direct and Kevin [Willamson] is definitely writing "Scream4. "It is going to be great." About her co-stars David Arquette and Courteney Cox, she says, "I haven't spoken to them in a while. I'm sure it took a while to convince them to take part [in the picture], especially because they're now a very happy family, and of course, it was a long journey for them. There's an all new episode of Cougar Town tonight (see sneak peeks and photos) and then there will be a rerun airing on December 2nd.
New episodes return on December 9th and the show will celebrate its Christmas episode before (I think) it goes on a holiday hiatus. No offense to anyone who lives in warm climates, but not seeing snow at Christmas just weirds me out. It should always be showing on Christmas (it doesn't have to snow on any other day of the year – just Christmas). That one time my family spent Christmas in Florida was honestly the worst holiday I ever had (although Disney World went a long way in making up for it). Anyways, I mention this because, as you can see from the photos below, the show's characters are all wearing dresses and short sleeves and there's wreathes on boats and not a snowflake in sight. »

In an interview with BlockBook, Neve Campbell, revealed that Scream director Wes Craven will likely return for Scream 4.
I'm pretty sure at this stage that Wes is back on board to direct and Kevin [Willamson] is definitely writing it ... so it is going to be great.
Campbell says the movie will go into production "in mid-April" and is "so happy" to see that both Courteney Cox and David Arquette are returning. While Campbell has yet to see the script, she says the hardest thing about playing the character of Sidney Prescott again will be achieving the same haircut.
Physically speaking, it's all about working the bob! And the only way I can achieve that properly every day on set is through Tara Smith hair products. Seriously, if Tara didn't cut and style my hair in an amazing girly way to re-create the Sidney look, I wouldn't have a starting point [for the character]. I'm not kidding. »

It's been a while since last Neve Campbell talked about the Scream franchise, but the star just dropped some really interesting things about the upcoming film.
In a recent interview with Black Book Mag Campbell had this to say:
"I'm pretty sure at this stage that Wes [Craven] is back on board to direct and Kevin [Willamson] is definitely writing it...so it is going to be great." This could very well be the first confirmation that Craven will be back in the director's chair for this fourth entry ... then again it could also be speculation.
Regarding the also returning David Arquette and Courteney Cox, she says, "I haven't spoken to them in a while. I'm sure it took a while to convince them to take part [in the picture], especially because they’re now a very happy family, and of course, it was a long journey for them. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, »

While we were just about to let you guys in on some Scream IV happenings, Bd reader 'Curtiee' just sent us a link to the same news, only from an official source. Black Book Mag recently interviewed Neve Campbell, who plays Sidney Prescott in the Scream trilogy. She confirms early reports of a potential April 2010 start date, and that Wes Craven is returning to direct (our sources say it's a closed deal). "Im pretty sure at this stage that Wes [Craven] is back on board to direct and Kevin [Willamson] is definitely writing it...so it is going to be great." Campbell will be joining David Arquette and Courteney Cox, along with a group of new stars, who can hopefully stay alive long enough to figure out the new rules to this one-of-a-kind horror franchise. »
