Performed in "Public Enemy" which he also wrote and directed (1987), as the title role in Shakespeare's "Hamlet", Benedick in "Much Ado About Nothing", Touchstone in "As You Like It" (all 1988), Jimmy in "Look Back In Anger" by John Osborne (1989), Edgar in Shakespeare's "King Lear" and Quince in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" both of which he also directed (1990), and the title role in Shakespeare's "Coriolanus" (1992). Also directed "Chekhov's "Uncle Vanya" (1991).
