Straight off her weekend at the Toronto Film Festival, Jennifer Aniston hopped down to NYC to join her good friends Courteney Cox and David Arquette for the launch of David's new menswear line, Propr, at New York Fashion Week. The collaboration between David and Ben Harper was celebrated by their wives and was even family-friendly enough for their kids — like Coco, who strapped on her Mary Janes and climbed on mom's shoulders to get better view of the action. Courteney and Laura Dern have been hanging out in Manhattan with their daughters before their husbands' big night, but Cox looked great posing with her Bff Jennifer Aniston when she arrived on the scene. To see lots more photos from the party including Jen, Courteney, Coco, David, Laura, Ben and others, just read more. It looks like at least one actor -- or should we say actress -- has a chance of making one of Emmy's prestigious acting categories. Mary McDonnell, who plays President Laura Roslin in "Battlestar Galactica," has turned up on an unofficial shortlist for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. The list is not technically official, but is what reportedly is being considered by a blue ribbon panel, according to Tom Oh! and GoldDerby.com. The list, which will be pared down to just five people, includes McDonnell as well as Patricia Arquette from "Medium," Glenn Close from "Damages," Minnie Driver from "The Riches," Sally Field from "Brothers & Sisters," Mariska Hargitay from "Law and Order: Svu," Holly Hunter from "Saving Grace," Elisabeth Moss from "Mad Men," Kyra Sedgwick from ...

Emmy's winners for acting are chosen in a three-tier system by actors who belong to the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. During the first two weeks of June, they participate in a popular vote that determines a Top 10 runoff in each race. Finalists submit a sample episode of their best work to judges, whose scores are combined by accountants in a 50-50 mix with results of the original popular vote. The five nominees in each category are then announced July 17. Winners are decided based on judges' scores of the sample episodes and are revealed at the awards ceremony to

Patricia Arquette questioned how open-minded she was when her transgender brother Alexis first announced he was going to become a woman.
The True Romance star admits she felt "a loss" when Alexis - born Robert Arquette - told her of his transition plans.
And the actress was surprised to discover she wasn't as broad-minded as she'd previously thought.
Patricia says, "I had all the questions (for him) at first: 'Do you love yourself? Is it something that you want to change about the way you look?' I get concerned when anybody I love wants to do any change to the way they look - where's this coming from and why?...
"Accepting as I am, I didn't really understand and I can't say I really do understand it. But I did feel a sadness. Like, there's a loss. Am I going to lose my brother? I have memories of growing up - little faces we made, getting dressed up for Halloween.
"I always imagined myself to be a very open-minded person. So when I was feeling a level of judgement... I really had to think about myself."

Actress Patricia Arquette is pleased the Golden Globe Awards ceremony has been cancelled - because she would have refused to cross the Writers Guild Of America's picket line.
Organisers announced their decision on Monday to avoid a celebrity-less event after the Screen Actors Guild pledged its members would not attend.
And although Arquette was looking forward to the glitzy ceremony, she felt she had to support the strike.
She says, "Selfishly, that's a really nice thing (to attend), but it's important to have a moral conviction even when it's inconvenient to do so. So I don't feel like I could show up unless there's some kind of agreement made with the writers.
"So many families are suffering right now and the sooner both sides come to the table and come to a reasonable resolution, the better for everyone."
The 65th annual Golden Globe Awards had been due to take place at the Beverly Hilton hotel in California on Sunday. Instead, a news conference will take place to announce the winners of each category

Patricia Arquette is praying the writers' strike ends before the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, so she can be there if she wins.
The star is nominated in the Best Performance By An Actress In A Television Series - Drama category for her performance in Medium, but will be obliged to miss the 13 January event if a deal can't be struck with the Writer's Guild Of America.
And Arquette is so angry she'll be forced to sit out the event, she has vowed not to picket on behalf of the writers alongside other actors and actresses.
She says, "It was such a great honour. I didn't want to diminish that. I wanted to show my appreciation to the Hollywood foreign press (who vote for Golden Globe winners). They do good work in Hollywood. They do a lot of philanthropic work. They really tried to come to an agreement with the Writer's Guild.
"I still need to honour the strike - but I won't picket it."
